Create a campaign event that will help improve the image of an organization. I chose the Council on American-Islamic Relations (aka CAIR). Their educational outreach isn't approachable to the everyday person because it's often too academic. I created Common Ground, an interfaith event where people of different beliefs come together to feed the homeless while learning about each other.

I explored different textures and colors to use for the geometric shapes using watercolor. I wanted something organic, textured, and uneven in tone and gradation. Although, I explored other warmer colors, I felt the use of complementary cooler tones fit well with the brief, making it approachable and human.

The various geometric shapes and sizes coming together symbolize the goal of the event – building a community of people who have different beliefs and backgrounds.
